This is the problem:
If I want to start up Avid's VideoShop® 2.0 Demo (expanded from MacFormat disk no. 21b), I get the following message: "Avid VideoShop requires Sound Manager version 3.0 or later" and the program will not run. With all extensions/controlpanels switched off (except QuickTime 1.6.1) it won't work either. Virtual Memory on or off, 32-bit addressing on or off, with or without extensions - VideoShop simply refuses to run on my Mac. According to the 'Get Info'-information my Sound Manager controlpanel is version N1-7.1, which ResEdit™ 2.1.1 confirms (version number 7.1.0, final release and countrycode 05 Netherlands). What is going wrong here?
